Daniel Spoerri, nasce a Galați il 27 marzo 1930. Deve la sua fama di artista soprattutto ai cosiddetti “Quadri-trappola” (“Fallenbildern“, realizzati a partire dagli anni ’60). La sua carriera iniziò come ballerino nella Berna degli anni ’50. In seguito si fece un nome come ristoratore (anni ’70) e come fondatore della Eat Art (vedi la Eat Art Gallery di Düsseldorf e i suoi numerosi banchetti). Negli anni ’90 ha realizzato un grande parco di sculture, che dal 1997 è diventato una fondazione. Nel anno 2009 è stato aperto il "Kunststaulager Spoerri" a Hadersdorf am Kamp (Austria).

Daniel Spoerri, born in Galați on March 27, 1930. He owes his fame as an artist above all to the so-called "Trap paintings" ("Fallenbildern", created from the 1960s onwards). His career began as a dancer in Bern in the 1950s. He later made a name for himself as a restaurateur (1970s) and as the founder of Eat Art (see the Eat Art Gallery in Düsseldorf and its many banquets). In the 1990s he created a large sculpture park, which became a foundation in 1997. In 2009 the "Kunststaulager Spoerri" in Hadersdorf am Kamp (Austria) was opened.
